Portola Valley Town Council
Portola Valley is a special community in a beautiful environment. Founded in 1964 by visionary residents who volunteered their time to organize a new town and craft a General Plan setting out the key governance and planning principles for that town, Portola Valley continues to rely on volunteers stepping forward to contribute their time, talents, and energy for the ongoing benefit of our community. Today, our Town faces many challenges. I am running for the Portola Valley Town Council in 2022 to give back to this special place I call home, which has given my family and me so very much.
My husband and I moved to Portola Valley 15 years ago, and we love living here. For the past 12 years, I have volunteered for our Town in various capacities, serving first on the Trails and Paths Committee and then on certain ad hoc committees and a task force. For the last 8 years, I have served as a member of the Portola Valley Planning Commission.
For 30 years I have worked as an attorney, helping guide life sciences companies in setting up long-term business collaborations. In this role, I help people who have a common goal – but also have diverse and sometimes conflicting interests – to find sustainable solutions that work practically and effectively for all participants.
My extensive experience leading groups with a range of perspectives – in both local government and business – makes me uniquely qualified to help our Town navigate its current challenges and prepare for the issues our community will face in the future.
